Role Overview:

We are rapidly expanding our prosecution vertical. As an Assistant Manager, you will:

  • work with some of the leading technology corporations and assist them in preparing patent portfolios
  • work on cutting-edge technologies and hand-in-hand with inventors to protect inventions
  • get an opportunity to identify problems and strive to resolve the same by independent thinking
  • assist clients worldwide by delivering high quality and strategic services

Job description:

  • Analyze Office Actions and build a strategy
  • US/EP patent prosecution for some of the marquee technology companies in the field of Electronics and Computer Science, with a special focus on Emerging Technologies (Electric Vehicles, AI, ML, Deep Tech, etc.)
  • As we are setting up the vertical, you have a great chance to climb up the ladder and participate in scaling up activities
  • Client interaction: Participate in Attorney calls, discuss prosecution strategies, and communicate project highlights via calls and e-mail
  • Assist and troubleshoot problems on-call with clients

Desired Skillset:

  • Knowledge of USPTO and EPO prosecution guidelines and case laws
  • Ability to quickly understand and grasp technologies in the field of Electronics and Computer Science, with a special focus on Emerging Technologies (Electric Vehicles, AI, ML, blockchain, Deep Tech, etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication [an absolute must]
  • Ability to think independently and in a team to understand problems & suggest solutions

Education/Professional Qualification and Work Experience:

  • Bachelors/ Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Communication, Instrumentation or Computer Science.
  • IP Experience: minimum of four years’ experience in US/EP patent prosecution
  • Industry experience: 0-2 years (not mandatory, but preferred)
