The Honeywell Sustainable Building Technologies (SBT) GBE at Honeywell Technology Solutions (HTS), is newly formed GBE responsible for driving innovation in the area of Sustainability for Buildings. The key focus areas are IAQ (Indoor Air Quality), carbon Measure and Insights, Energy Efficiency and Optimization, Smart Power and Net Zero Certification. This is fastest growing field where most of the corporation are pledging towards Net Zero / Carbon Neutrality by 2035-2045 timeframe.

We are looking for a strong technology leader with good understanding of Building Domain, Market Trends on Technology & Sustainability to drive Innovation, Business Acumen, Domain background on Energy & Smart Power experience, to provide leadership and direction to a diverse group of professional engineers working with global Product Marketing & Offering teams to build and support outstanding Services, Solution and Products.

Technology And Business

  • Act as single point of contact for all HBT-SBT development for India Technology Team
  • Accountable for deliverables on all SBT NPI (Development Programs)
  • Work with offering, marketing, R&D, Engineering Ops to develop a robust program/project/product pipeline and roadmap
  • Drive the execution of product development and ensure on time delivery, cost and quality specs
  • Work with India Business team to drive SBT India and East for East regions growth
  • Work with offering to do competitor benchmarking to determine baseline of competitor product features and areas of differentiation/advantage
  • Leading continuous improvement efforts through the institutionalization of Agile and other practices like Honeywell Operation System (HOS), Z21 (Zero to 1st revenue)
  • Accountable for providing deep dive focus on different programs in each functional area
  • Accountable for ensuring sustained capability development through adherence to CMMi Maturity Level 5 practices
  • Taking complete ownership in resolving issues/escalations in consultation with senior management and global organization

Strategic Impact

  • Support and develop Strategic Priorities (STRAP) for HBT-SBT in alignment with global teams. Plan and execute Annual Operating Plan (AOP) aligned to business goals
  • Responsible for formulating strategies for effective growth, productivity, and people engagement
  • Product roadmaps for the global and regional markets
  • Establishing benchmarks on cycle time performance & demonstrating year on year improvements in productivity through reuse, automation, simulation, modelling, etc.
  • Work closely with regional and global product marketing leaders for idea conceptualization and to drive regional market growth

Talent Management and Development

  • Responsible for Honeywell Performance Development (HPD), Global Compensation Planning (GCP), Management Resource Reviews (MRR), Technical Resource Reviews (TRR) and rewards and recognition for the SBT Technology Team.
  • Mentor / coach / guide experienced leaders reporting into this role
  • Driving effective people practices through effective hiring strategy, rewarding, motivating & retention strategy and talent differentiation for high performance
  • Drive Honeywell Values & Behaviors and culture across the HBT-SBT team
  • Responsible for developing people and competencies that are required for future growth with specific emphasis on building top talent for key leadership positions and tracking succession depth for all key positions

  • Engineering degree with 15+ years of experience with strong background in Software Development in Enterprise Product, Cloud Technologies and Data science Engineering and Advance Analytics using AI/ML.
  • Prior experience in the area of Energy Management, Building Domain (BMS) and Energy Optimization
  • Experience at Sr. Manager / Director level in managing large, cross-site, engineering teams
  • Strong program management, process management, technology & strategy management skills experienced technical manager of development engineering.
  • Excellent executive communication and leadership skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to facilitate diverse groups, help negotiate priorities, and resolve conflicts
  • Ability to work in highly matrix environment and manage constant change and evolution
  • Keen and aware of the business and technological opportunities and challenges
